2010 Hummer H2
GM rumored a 2010 Hummer H2 equipped with a high performance V8 turbodiesel last year, but the front has been extremely quiet lately. It’s no suprise given the situation GM is in at the moment. In fact there are startling rumors that the H2 line itself may not be continued at all in the future. If we are lucky enough to see a new H2, it’s likely the changes will be extremely miniscule and chances are slim to none that we will see that diesel engine anytime soon.

2010 H2 Hearsay or Here To Stay?
The H2 has been very popular to say the least, but it is in a strange market position that makes it likely to be included in the preverbial fat that GM is cutting at the moment. The SUT‘s like the Chevrolet Avalanche and Cadillac Escalade are more marketable and profitable, and so it’s fairly likely they will take up the empty space should the H2 not return in 2010.
Specifications and Performance Data
The 2010 H2 holds 7 passengers, with an optional back seat in the wagon models. The standard can only hold 4-5 passengers. The engine hp would stay about the same at just under 400 horsepower (393). The hp generated would still be V8 driven. A manual transmission would still not be available just the 6 speed auto with the upshift/downshift paddles that allow for manual control of the transmission. We would also guess that the 8000 lb towing capacity would see no signifiant boost.
